Arrival & departure
When can I check in?
Check-in: from 15:00. Check-out: by 11:00.
Is late check-in possible?
Yes. Please let us know by 18:00 by email or telephone so that we can keep your room available.
Is late check-out possible?
Yes. Please ask reception for details and conditions.
What do I need to do to check out?
If your bill has already been paid, put your room card in the check-out box.
Can I leave my luggage after check-out?
Yes. You can leave your luggage at reception at any time.
Payment & cancellation
Do I have to pay when I book?
No. Payment at the hotel is also possible.
Can I have an invoice addressed to my company?
Yes. Please contact reception before arrival or during your stay.
Why is there an accommodation tax?
Magdeburg charges an accommodation tax of 5% on the overnight rate. It is shown separately.
What are the cancellation conditions?
Cancellation is free of charge until 48 hours before arrival. After that, 50% of the total cost is charged.

When is the bar open?
Around the clock.
Are there wellness facilities?
The sauna is available 24 hours a day. Please notify reception 30 minutes beforehand. Bathrobes can be borrowed free of charge.
May I bring my dog?
Yes. The pet rate is €11.00 per night. Unfortunately, dogs cannot accompany you into the lobby during breakfast. You are welcome to take your breakfast to your room instead.
Can we have an extra bed?
Yes. Please contact us in advance.
How much do extra beds cost?
Extra bed: €30.00 per night. Cot: €15.00 per night.
Can you order a taxi?
Yes. Waiting times vary, so please contact reception as early as possible.
Breakfast
When is breakfast served and how much does it cost?
Monday–Friday: 07:00–10:30. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 07:00–11:00. Price: €16.00 per person. Breakfast can be added at reception.
For stays from 1 November 2026: breakfast €18.00 per person; children’s breakfast up to age 12 €10.00.
Are vegan options available?
Yes. The buffet includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free products.
May my dog come into the breakfast room?
Unfortunately, dogs cannot accompany you into the lobby during breakfast. You are welcome to take your breakfast to your room instead.
Is breakfast available for groups?
Space in the breakfast area is limited and unsuitable for larger groups. We recommend Café Alt Magdeburg in the Green Citadel.
Parking & bicycles
Is parking available?
Yes. An underground parking space can be reserved for €13.00. Please provide your vehicle registration number in advance for automatic recognition. Park only in spaces marked for the hotel.
For stays from 1 November 2026: underground parking €15.00 per night.
How does the barrier open?
It opens through number plate recognition. If this does not work, please ring the bell.
Where is the entrance and what is the height limit?
The entrance is on Arthur-Ruppin-Straße. Follow signs for Grüne Zitadelle. The entrance height is 2 metres.
Is electric vehicle charging available?
Yes. Two charging stations are available.
When can I use my parking space?
Arrival day: from 12:00. Departure day: until 11:30.
Where can I safely store my bicycle?
A secure bicycle cage is available. Ask reception for the key.
Rooms & facilities
Is the hotel accessible?
There is a lift and accessible rooms are available.
Is allergy-friendly bedding available?
Yes. Allergy-friendly bedding is available. All rooms have laminate flooring and showers only.
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
Some rooms have air conditioning. A fan is provided in rooms without air conditioning.
May I smoke in my room?
No. Rooms are non-smoking. There is a public terrace.
During your stay
Are building tours available and where can I get tickets?
Tours take place daily. Please visit the information shop in the courtyard for registration and further details.
Can I visit the roof terrace?
Only as part of a guided tour.
Is the hotel in the city centre?
Yes. Everything is within walking distance. City maps are available at reception.
Does the hotel have a meeting room?
No. The hotel has 40 rooms and an apartment on the eighth floor, but no separate meeting room.
Where are the emergency exits?
They are marked with directional signs. An evacuation plan is displayed on the inside of your room door.
Is Wi-Fi free?
Yes, throughout the hotel. You will receive the code from reception at check-in.
How often are rooms cleaned?
Daily. If you do not want cleaning, hang the red card on the door. Please put towels that need replacing on the floor.

Parking
Our hotel is located right in the city-centre of Magdeburg. There are parking possibilities on Breiter Weg, Domplatz, or on many side streets. There, park ticket vending machines were installed by the state capital Magdeburg which operate from 08:00 am to 8:00 pm. Parking there at night is free. Of course you can also make a reservation for a parking space in the hotel-owned parking garage which would cost you 13 € per night.

Dogs
Your best friend is very welcome with us. Beagle-Lady Jamie is our dog representative and a professionally experienced member of the hotel team. You may ask for first-hand advice for a trip to the next field for dog-walking. Of course, the cleaning of each room will be more time-consuming once a dog has slept in it which is why we charge you 11 € a night. Unfortunately, dogs cannot accompany you into the lobby during breakfast. You are welcome to take your breakfast to your room instead.
